Hands2Help Update

I decided to ask my director at the school where I work if I could get the children involved with my charity quilt.  She said YES!  The children are so excited! We talked about the organization that we were going to make the quilt for - Happy Chemo.
I started with a huge tree on a light blue background and made "grass" with a couple of frogs hiding throughout.
I brought a bunch of different red, yellow, and orange fabrics to school with wunder-under already ironed on the back. The children chose their color and then they traced their hand on the paper side.
Once all the hands were traced I took them home and cut all those little fingers out.  Then I brought them back to school and each child wrote their name of the front of the 'leaf' with permanent marker.
After the children wrote their names they were able to place their 'leaf' where ever they wanted on the quilt. I still have a few more children's 'leaves' to go on before I can start the quilting.  More updates to follow!

Blessings!
